wireless pc and laptop cards

Hello all....

I just bought myself a wireless access point from d-link (802.11b). My question is are all PC and laptop wireless cards made equally? or do some offer better reception and speed? All this wireless stuff is new to me =P
Well if they aren't the same which card would offer the best reception and speed? SMC? dlink? linksys? etc...?

I don't know if they are all created equally..but I was looking at the Dlink card at best buy.. It was the cheapest one they had there..next up was the Netgear..and I didnt even bother to look at any others🙂 Well, I would certainly think that, as long as it supports the right standards, it would perform at least similarly to any of the others. I guess the one thing we have to think about is probably driver support. There had better be someone out there with more info on this than me..😉
