Thinking of buying a used Rockband guitar, I already asked about reliability, but my local gamestop has both wireless and wired for the same price. Which is best? Also will these work with Guitar Hero series?

I'd recommend getting the GHIII wireless guitar. It works on GHIII and Rockband on the 360. If you get the Rockband guitar, you can't use it for GHIII. If you have a PS3, neither guitar is interchangeable. If you get a RB guitar it works w/ RB. If you get a GHIII guitar, it works w/ GHIII. And yes, in either case, get the wireless guitar. Wires suck.

I agree, wireless. But, if you can, get the RB guitar and a wireless GH guitar. I personally hate the GH guitars. They are too small and make way too much noise. I love the RB guitar, its quiet, feels right because its closer to a real guitar in size and the buttons IMO are better as they are flatter and makes sliding easier in harder modes. I wish a third party made a guitar like the RB one that would work with all the GH games and RB.
