Wireless NIC's that don't stick out of laptop?

I have seen a few wireless NIC's on different laptops and all of them have about an inch of it stickout out. Is there a wireless NIC out there that fits completely inside the PCMCIA?

I will be very mobile and I don't want to take that thing out and put it back in every time.

I guess it's because of the antena. I have USB 802.11b adapter used with my laptop, so I am very non-mobile even I carry it everywhere.

The only card I know of that's close are 3Com's x-jack wlan cards. It offers good speed and a retractable antenna. And it also works with the antenna inside the pcmcia card. And it is actually cheap.

I have one of the 3COM's Wireless NICs (VISA) w/ X-Jack and antenna on my card is retractable. The card works very well in Win98SE and XP, but the only downside is that once antenna is inside, you cannot connect to the Wireless AP. Other than that, I would highly recommend that card for its range, simplicity of use and convinience.
