Wireless newbie looking for suitable gear

Hi all.

I'm going to be getting NTL cable in a week or so to replace my sketchy, noisy ADSL connection.

I've gone for a 4Mb connection and there are various things I want to do with it.

I plan to have a work PC in the same room as the router, a play/browsing PC in another room about 20 meters away through three brick walls, a Slim Squeezebox in a room directly beneath the router (through one set of floorboards) and another Slim Squeezebox in the room next to that one - i.e. through one set of floorboards and a brick wall.

In the future I'd like to add a multi-media PC, connected to my TV in the room directly beneath the router, as well as a laptop for roaming around the house with.

I know very little about networking, having only set up a two PC wired network with a Netgear router (very basic model) in the past, and know *nothing* about wireless gear.

I had my eye on this router:

Would this work ok for me? Do I need any additional gear.
I know I need an adapter to pick up the signal on each machine and I have found a wireless PCI adapter - apparently this is the one to get for the router I was looking at:

I assume I don't need one for the squeezeboxes.

Many thanks for your help
