Wireless Networking with HP ze4101

Has anyone tried using 802.11b with their HP ze4101 laptops? I have a Netgear MA401 pc card, and it worked great in my old laptop. In the ze4101, it's not so great. I have problems getting a signal a lot of times, and the signal I get is much less than with my old laptop.

I just wanted to get other people's input. Post away!

I'm also having alot of trouble with my HP/Compaq Presario 1510T. Range can't be this bad normally.

i have the hp and a dell side by side and the hp doesn't get nearly as good a wireless signal. it's weird. it might be a design problem.

I bought a 54g card to pair with the 54g router I was already using. The signal still weakens about the same amount, but the fluctuations aren't apparant so it remains connected where as the 11mbit cards would be dropping out and reconnecting every few seconds.

Perhaps I'm just running into some draft-802.11g interoperability problems...

Time to update my router's firmware AGAIN
