wireless networking question

i am trying to set up a wireless network in my house for sharing internet connecction.

am i required to have one computer connected to the wireless hub via a wired network card?

or can i just connect the cable router to the wireless hub, and have every thing wireless receive the connection?

i am using the netgear wireless ruoter with a motorola cable ruoter.

thanks!

No,. But most wireless routers have 4 ports for wired conections, The idea is that the computer nearest to the Cable modem can be wired, but the PCs that are further away connect wirelessly. A wired connection is always faster, plus a wireless NIC costs more than a a RJ-45 cable; so if it isn't inconvenient use a wired conection rather than a a wireless one.
