wireless networking - intermittent interruptions

Hi,

I just purchased a linksys wireless router and two linksys PCI wireless-g cards (two computers). Set everything up and it all works. Set it to take a password so it's not "open". Now, I notice that it disconnects/reconnects intermittently. Is this normal? It's highly irritating and I don't recall hearing of this being a problem from other people I know with wireless.

Any suggestions on what the issue could be? I guess it's only common sense that I should keep the router and computers away from sources of distortion or interference? Would this cause the problem? Because when it works, it works perfectly and it's fast.

I'm at a loss. Any insight would be appreciated.

thank you

try change the channel to either 1 or 11, and keep your cordless phone away from the AP, if it's 2.4 GHz

could the speakers (subwoofer) and tv screw it up? I think that could have been it, i had both in very close proximity. I moved them and it seems ok now. Although it usually works fine for a while and then disconnects, so we'll see. If it does it again, I will try changing the channel. Good point on the cordless phone too, although I don't have one here currently.
