hey guys, i just got a new wireless card for my laptop, and after installing it correctly and everything, i am still not able to connect to my router. my wireless card is this and my router is a D-link DI-614+ 802.11b. my computer can see that there is a signal coming out from the router, but when i try to connect, it doesnt do anything. also, the software that comes with the wireless card sux nuts. i cant even get into the whole configuration utility. do u guys know wuts wrong wtih it?

[*]Your adapter needs to be in infrastructure mode. It also needs to use either long or short preamble to match the access point. The 614+ has extensions to the 802.11b standard, 22 Mbps and 4x mode, so you would want to disabled it since they are not part of the 802.11g standard.

[*]If you have WEP enabled make sure to type it into the g adapter

[*]Turn off mac filtering

[*]Try using the Windows XP wifi utility
