Wireless network tech rocks!

My school has a wireless network - today we got to use the Dell Inspiron 2500's that they bought to surf around in class. Pretty neat, were supposed to be reading some junk on NYSE for economics - so of course I come here, right? The laptops are junky though - huge for the small screen that they have, but wireless networking rocks

YEs, they do rock. Most of the time, when my lectures are getting down hill, I'll just on the laptop they hand to us before class.

UCLA is going to implement a wireless network ON CAMPUS so you can haul around laptops with wireless lan cards and surf the web while your trying to pass the 2-hour long class on ethnomusic!

if UCLA actually implements that network i will actually buy a 802.11b card!!! no more waiting for a stupid desk in powell. hahahahaha.

ok yeah i hate waiting for those desks ok. my 3.4 pound subnote will just feel like a better value. I think they already implemented it in north campus (yeah makes sense, the side where all the non engineers and scientists are) but they aren't saying where, hopefully its up soon. i figured since the whole campus is already networked they could have just gone to compusa last night and bought lots of $120 WAPs, and plugged them in all over the place, but i guess they dont like my brilliant idea
