Wireless Network Setup - please help!

I want to set up a wireless network to cover a block of apartments. The apartmens are grouped in clusters of 6 - three storeys high and 2 apartmens on a storey. The network must provide internet access to all of these.

There are about 8 of these clusters (50 apartments) in a straight line.

What kind of hardware would I need to cover all these apartments. Connection speed is not important (network just for internet access).

Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Normally wireless network signales go out horizontally. If you want it to go vertically you could either set the antenna on its side and see how your range goes for that. Or even just put in a wireless router/AP for each floor (better signal). Depending on what the walls are made of and how much interferience there is, a router for each set might be the best idea if you have somewhere to put them in the ceiling or something.
