Wireless network question

I've recently tried to add a wireless link into my network. I've got @home, a Linksys router, two PCs on wired ethernet connections, and a third PC with an Addtron wireless setup (access point and USB adapter). The wired PCs work fine, and the third PC works fine if I've got it hard wired.
When I try to go wireless everything works OK to start with. I can see the other PCs on the network, I can get files from them, I can send files for printing, and I can get to the internet. After a few minutes, I eventually get to a point where I can't connect to any new www sites. At the bottom of the browser, I get a comment "searching for xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx", and it basically hangs up. At that point, I can still see the other PCs, and the screens show that the wireless connection is still there, I just can't get outside of the LAN. The only solution is to reboot, then everything is fine again.
I'm trying to reach support at Addtron, but haven't had any response so far. Essentially I've got three questions:

1) Has anyone had similar type problems when adding a wireless node to a wired network?
2) Any comments on Addtron as a vendor (admitedly I tried them cause they were cheaper than linksys, D-Link, or Netgear)?
3) Recommendations on alternative wireless methods (I don't want to run a 50ft ethernet cable through my house and through walls if I can possibly help it)

Thanks

Have you checked to make sure the wireless PC's gateway is set to the right IP address?

What I've done is enter two gateways for the PC with the wireless. I've entered the LAN IP address for the router (which is what I've done for the wired PCs), as well as the IP address for the wireless access point. This seems to work for a while, then mysteriously drops out later.

Update - I've removed the IP address for the WAP from my gateway settings, and now everything seems much more stable. Thanks for asking the question to make me think about it a little. I think it's fixed. If not, I'll add commentary later.
