I am new to this site

I have dsl through embarq. I have a linksys wrt54g wireless router. I have 4 laptops and 2 desktops. one of the laptops is hardwired to the linksys router and works fine with the internet. my other 3 laptops and 2 desktops connect wireless. I have no trouble with the laptop that is connect with the hardwire. The 2 Desktops I have no trouble with either. The trouble I have is the 3 laptops that connect wireless to the router connect to my network fine every time but it says connected local only the internet will not work. Sometimes they will work it will say connect to network access local and internet. most of the time they will not get the internet. Can someone help me out. It seems like i can't get them all the internet at the same time. the 3 laptops wireless will only connect to the internet when they want to. I called embarq tech support and they checked out my line and they said everything on the line was good. I have herd of people having this problem but I never herd of anyone fixing it. Please help
 
click start, then run
type in the box cmd
type ipconfig /release
type ipconfig /renew

once it gets a new ip address they should be able to access the internet. my guess is these laptops have a bug that loses its connection to the router/ap and when it comes back up it only gets access locally. Kind of weird, and I have not found an answer to it.
