My neighbor has the same setup as I do for his upstairs computer. A Netgear MR814 router and MA111 USB adapter. Everything worked dandy until he loaded SP2. Now he has no internet access.

I went through and disabled the XP firewall and checked his wireless settings and all that hooey and it looks fine. When I am in the XP wireless network settings box and I click on "Repair Connection" it is unable to obtain an IP address.

Any other ideas??

Are you using the Netgear wireless configuration software?

I had to uninstall the netgear software and use the sp2 enhanced windows wireless networking interface to connect to my network after installing sp2.

Hmm I'm having a similar problem, same router, have SP2 installed but I have an Intel 2200 BG card instead.

I have a netgear WG121 and it was working fine for two days but now its always dropping the connection every 10 or 15 mins. I treid disabling the zero configuration utility and vice versa! NOTHING WORKS! Any ideas??
