wireless network disconnects every 10 minutes....

I got a new Linksys WRT54GL and 2 Gigabyte 802.11G network cards. I installed everything and for some reason, about every 10 minutes or so (unless i'm downloading a big file) my wirelesscard disconnects and reconnects.

Anyone got any idea why? A friend of mine has a simular network setup and he had told me he was getting the same thing... is there a driver option i need to set or something in my router????

thanks

the WRT54 series is an atrocious router. that'd be part of it.

your network card also has settings to try and roam to other networks. disable that.

Try shutting off power management for the card. Also, try disabling Windows Wireless Zero Config and using the utility that came with the card for connecting.
