Wireless Network Connection Status in Win10

I often times bring up the Wireless Network Connection Status to see how much data is being sent and received and I'v noticed something odd with Win10. Previously, with Win7, when you shut the PC down then started it again the Duration would reset to zero, but with Win10 it appears to maintain a cumulative duration value that isn't reset at boot. As an example ... I upgraded a laptop a couple days ago and have powered on and off several times over those two days, but the duration value in the Connection Status is right now indicating "1 day 13:32:35" even though I booted the laptop less than an hour ago.

OK, is there a setting that can change this back to the way it was in Win7 so that the duration is reset every time the connection is re-established?

Just to be clear, I'm not looking for some app to do what the built in connection status should be doing and used to do. I have to believe there's a setting someplace that fixes this but I do not see it.

I am not sure that Win 10 can do it the way you want it.

I have a wire computer Router/Modem connection and Win 10 gives me only a reading described as the Last 30 days with a break down to each App use of the bandwidth.

May be the content of this pages can further help.

OK, thanks for the info/pointers --was not aware of this change in the way it tracks data usage/flow. Not sure what will be preferred though I can see value in being able to see per app usage stats.

OK, went to the Network Usage page and sadly it's not nearly as helpful as I'd like. My total usage is just under 48GB and there's a long list of apps including "Chrome", "MS Edge" etc eating some here and there but at the bottom is an app called "System" and it's used 42.8GB. Clinking on "System" doesn't dig down any further so just what "System" is doing I have no idea.

Interestingly, the Wireless Network Connection Status has now reset today and I'm not sure why.
