Wireless Network Connection dialog boxes

as stated in this thread, my husband and i have different wireless network cards. however, i don't understand why this would cause for us to have two different Wireless Network Connection dialog boxes, as seen in these two images below:

i have this

naturally, his is nicer -- when you go to Advanced on my ugly GUI, you get something like this which, once you select a network, ultimately gives you the option to Connect to it (the button is not in the screenshot).

so my question is: what do i need to do to get the nicer wireless network connection interface? i don't like mine. :p

it's definitely a SP2 thing- upgrade to SP2 on xp, shoudl work fine for you...

i just received this laptop (and formatted it) yesterday :p i thought SP2 was immediately installed since i went to windowsupdate maybe 10 times. (i never really looked at what was installed... my bad) :)
