Wireless network card

I have a PCMCIA "Acer WARP Link Communicator card". Is this a normal wireless networking card? The guy I bought it from had an ISA card that he said "went with" it. He didn't know what he was doing. Can i use this card to get on a pre-existing 802.11 network? is there special software i need? or do i just use the normal windows networking software?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks
David
