i'm actually posting this for a friend. He has two computer, one laptop running XP Home, and a desktop running WIN2k. They are connected to a wireless netowrk with cable modem. They were both sharing internet perfectly. he wanted to upgrade the win2k to winxp pro. He installed it, when the error came up saying "these devices are not compatible with xp" the onlything that cameup was his printer. So he installed xp normally, everything was fine. After everything was installed, he went to "my network places" and his network card wasn't detected. He tried using internet, didn't work. He tried installing the drivers for his network card and that didn't work either. Any ideas of what could be wrong??

both network cards and the router are all netgear. so compatiblity shoudln't be an issue, especially since before intstalling xp pro it was working perfectly.
