Wireless network adapter not working in Vista

Using Beta 2, I tried installing the 2k/XP drivers for my adapter, and though the system showed that it was working (in properties) no lights were flashing, and when I tried to use the D-Link utility, it refused to start.

I'm guessing this basically means I'm screwed, but is there any possible salvation?
