Wireless N

Okay, you guys are the smartest techies I know, so i come to you for advice once more.

I'm getting a new gaming rig. Going to be using it in my parents house this summer untill I move out to school in the fall. When I'm in my dorm I'll obviously just plug into a hardwire situation, however our house does not having hardwiring. It does, however, have a Wireless G network....Linksys. Is the Upgrade to Wireless N worth it? If so which company makes the best stuff? And can a computer with a wireless B/G card pick up the signal from a wireless N router, or will i be stuck buying adapters for all the computers in the house if I switch? Better yet, is there any way to run two routers from one broadband connection...keep all MY machines on the N-grade connection and leave the exsisting infrastructure for my family to use.....

just some general info from someone who knows better would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand your reply, you say It would improve gaming, then you ask, "what is the point?" and call it a waste of money?? I apologize if I'm not reading this right.....
