Wireless n access point

I am currently using a Netgear WGR614 wireless g router as an access point, to provide wireless coverage to a house. Using it in wireless g only mode.

It's been reasonably reliable and provides good coverage. Fiddly to set up because the router mode activates if you plug in more than one ethernet cable or plug it into the wrong port.

I would like to upgrade to a wireless n only network now that all devices support n. I care mostly about range so prefer to use 2.4Ghz.

I see that on Amazon, TP-Link TL-WA901ND is recommended, with some concerns about failure to restore when it is turned off for a few days. I also see some Cisco products recommended.

The main priority is reliability. Should work for years without user intervention. The next concern is range, should be at least as good as the WGR614.

If it has extra gigabit ethernet ports that can be used at the same time as being a wireless access point that will be a bonus; otherwise I will just keep using the gigabit switch next to it.

Would you recommend TP-Link or Cisco or other products? Thanks!

AirPort Extreme works well and has an AP mode -- though almost any router can be forced to behave as an AP if you disable DHCP and connect everything to the LAN ports. People say the range is excellent (I can't verify; I have a small apartment). It has only 3 LAN ports (all gigabit), but you have a gigabit switch anyway. If you just want N (not AC), a used 5th gen might be affordable.
