wireless mouse lagging

I bought this combo

http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=312080&pfp=cat3

logitech wireless mouse kbd express.

got it while on sale for $10 AR.

the kbd is ok but after using the mouse for a while it just doesn't feel quite right. I think there's a slight lag, just slight enough to be bothersome.

hard to describe; it just doesn't handle like my old el cheapo wired mouse. it's like going back to a bmw after driving a porsche.

of course it's both wirelesd and optical, so kind of a double whammy.

is this just how wireless mice are?

I've never used a wireless mouse without at least a little bit of noticable lag.

Especially when you look at what you paid for the combo, the device might be working as well as it ever will...

I had an old, cheap logitech wireless mouse once, which came with my wireless logitech keyboard that I'm still using, and it was terrible. Pretty severe latency. It looked sorta similar to the one in the link. Not all wireless mice are like that, I think just the old, cheap ones are. The logitech G7 is the first mouse I've tried that seems to have not one bit of lag, feels the same as any wired mouse.
