Wireless mouse/keyboard conflicts

Hi,

I was thinking about buying 4 HP computers to a small office. The computers are exactly the same model, and have wireless mouse and keyboards.

Since they all will work on the same room, I sent an email to HP with a question regarding conflict problems, like moving one mouse on a computer, and the cursor moving also in another computer. A mess of a problem 🙂

Now the answered my saying that to change frequencies, I need to simply press a reset button on the bottom of each device.

Now a question just poped into my head ... can this be true? I mean, it must be since HP is giving it to me, but how does it work?

If I press a button on a mouse, it sends a signal to it's base to reconfigure a frequency? But if both computers are in conflict, then both computers will receive the command to change frequencies ... or how does it work? Probably switching one computer at a time?

Thanks

I'm not sure about the HP equipment, but on my mice, it is not the button on the mouse that changes the frequency, but the receiver itself.
