Wireless Mouse/KB - KVM Server Room

I'm looking to replace my old Linksys 4port KVMs with (2) IOGear 8port Rackmout models. This will allow me to get rid of 3 sets of Mouse/KB/Monitors. Because of the odd layout in the room, bringing cables down from the 19" rack to the "work" desk is not convienient. ( Trying to clean up the wiring rat's nest anyway ) I'm looking into using a Wireless Mouse/KB instead. Has anyone else done this, or do you consider it to be too much a security risk ? Are there any Mouse/KB kits that use encrypted transmission ? Do they work correctly with KVM ? E.G., can you hit F2 or Del and actually get into the BIOS of a machine?

TIA!

I would contact IOGear and ask them but personally when I hear IOGear, I think cheap junk. My cheap kvm won't work with a simple ps2 to usb adapter but my soho belkin kvm does work with it.

I would stick with a wired solution for simplicity in a server room and just use extension cables if need be.
