Wireless monitors?

im looking to maybe add some displays to my apartment. mainly in the kitchen and the bathroom

all i really want is just mirrors of my htpc display... so i dont miss a beat when i go do things while watching something. also, i want people to think im all that 😀

im guessing a wireless usb to vga adapter would be best... however do any of them output to multiple displays? i would like to have 3 really- one for the bedroom too.

or is there a better way? (running wires isnt going to work, its an enclosed apartment and im not tearing up walls)

or, you know i suppose it would be *possible* to run wires tucked under the baseboards, and underneath the carpet for across the hallway. the runs would be about 50ft each... maybe hdmi/dvi over cat5? i already have 4 monitors on my htpc though, and i dont think i have room to add another video card.... hmmm...

I would think you could use a laptop with WiDi (see current Staples Dell $350 deal, it has WiDi), and then connect a few of those WiDi reciever boxes to various displays around your house. I suppose that would work.

either need some AV senders (2.4Ghz, S-Video quality) or look into some of the eithernet over power. The later I think even has a video over power option.

svideo might work actually... i dont think i even want the screens any bigger then 10" or so. probably the most cost effective and easiest way to do it too- just an hdmi splitter with one port going to my tv, the other to an hdmi-to-svideo converter... and then take that signal wirelessly to my rooms (since svideo wireless senders are cheaper then hdmi ones)

i think i have more thinking to do but i appreciate the help guys!
