wireless modem often disconnected :(

my wireless modem often gets disconnected. is there an application for Windows that keeps log of whenever it gets disconnected from the net?
maybe a simple program that checks every minute if there is a connection to the net. the status will be saved on a CSV file with timestamp. whenever i have time, i can check the CSV file then see if there's a pattern.

You could do http://www.dslreports.com/smokeping for a day, and see what it reports.

Come to think of it, check event viewer for Event 8003, that will tell you every time your net goes down.
Check, event viewer->Applications and Services logs->Microsoft->windows->WLAN-Autoconfig

thank you! im using smokeping and leaving it on for today. will see the graph when i get back tomorrow...

as for event viewer, looks like i will have to use the Wire-Autoconfig then Operational. reason being the modem is actually external. it looks like this https://source.sierrawireless.com/devices/raven-series/raven-xe/ and feeds internet to my laptop via a cat5 cable. would disconnect event be 8003?
