When I play WoW on my laptop (wired connection) through my D-Link DI-524, I have no lag and everything works great.
When I play using my laptop's internal wireless (Intel Pro/Wireless 2915ABG) I get in-game latency. It will play fine for a bit, but frequently (about every 2 minutes) the game will hang for 5-15 seconds. This isn't lag, my avatar still moves, the characters still move around in their battle stance, but the mobs just stay put and nothing happens for a few seconds. After those few seconds, the damage will quickly pile up, and the game returns to normal, only for it to happen in another minute or two. So it's not my computer that's lagging, it's the connection between the computer and the server.
At first I was using channel 10, and then I changed both the router and wireless receiver to channel 11. It hangs less often now, should I keep trying different channels?
Also I did a trace route:
