Wireless Keyboard/Optical Mouse Dying

All right, all of a sudden last night my Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse just stopped. So I turned off the computer manually and decided to find out what's up in the morning. I can get the optical wireless mouse working but the pointer will be there, then disappear, then there again. My question is, is normal and if so, is this the reason why people don't go wireless/optical? I mean, I've had this less then a year.

And testing it, works perfectly fine on this other computer...but not on my computer.

Have you checked the batteries? Performance may be erratic if the batteries are getting low.
