Wireless Keyboard/mouse battery usage?

How often do you change your batteries? What brand/model do you have?

Does anyone know/have experience with the Chieftec PT2001 seen here? Its only $30 bucks.

I'm using a Logitech wireless keyboard model # Y-RC14. The batteries last for like 6 months which is not bad. Since I do use my computer system alot.

My Logitech keyboard lasts around 6 months, for some reason the mouse only lasts around 3 months. Always seem to die at the worse times. Switched back to corded set.

Wow! 3 months for any cordless mouse is good!!! Mine used to die in like 2 weeks, but I'm a heavy gamer 🙁 Anyways, keyboard is going to depend on usage, but still much much better than the mouse b/c there's no LED to power.

I'm using the cordless keyboard from my Cordless Freedom Optical set along with the MX700. Batteries aren't an issue b/c of the charger, but I have to change the keyboard battery once very 3 or 4 months (4 AA, newer Elite models only use 2 AA and supposedly last just as long). If you use rechargeables, expect to replace them more often.

I have the (now discontinued) Intel Wireless Desktop keyboard/mouse/joypad. The mouse sucks ass in Win2k and WinXP, it will fully drain batteries every 3 days. Apparently only the Win9x drivers puts the mouse into sleep mode. No matter how cheap you may see these peripherals, don't get it!!

Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop. Works fine. Only had it 2 weeks but haven't had to change the batteries yet. They seem to go to sleep after some time, but instantaneously awake when I use them again.
