The Mrs. seems to think that she wants a wireless keyboard/mouse combo. Is there a lag problem with having these two for games, especially FPS?

I used to have a logitech RF wireless kb/mouse combo. Personally, I think they perform the same as the regular ones, just without wires.

Battery life is pretty good too. I highly recommend them.

I can't see how a wireless keyboard can affect your gaming experience but wireless mice have a very low refresh rate. Gamers don't use them.

I had a chance to get a MS Explorer wireless mouse for less than the price of the wired version and it was really tempting, but I just don't see much use of it. I have to put batteries in it and all it does is make things a bit less cluttered with no wires cause I don't see myself using the mouse to look at a screen from across the room even on my TV. Plus, it's just one more thing to get lost if it's not attached to the computer heh.

I've heard of problems with the wireless mice before as well(either slow with the lag or bad refresh), plus what the other guy said, most gamers don't use wireless mice/kbs, at least not that I know.

How far away from base can you wander with these? Planning for home theater setup...

No lag with my wireless Logitech mouse and keyboard. I use for games and works great. I think you can use from up to 10 feet away.

Wireless mice *up to 5ft*; keyboard 10ft+. I would not game comptetively with a wireless mouse, but for use on the tv just for fun "can" be ok.

wireless Keyboards are good for quake (unless they run out of batteries in the middle of a match... its kind of weird and confusing, not sure what happened hehe - btw 5month batteries in there, so its not like its every month or anything).

Wireless mice.... most reviews and all wireless mice i've tried suck for gaming. They're low refresh rate or what not, and not very accurate IMO, and slightly laggy maybe. But I'm open to other opinions, problem is I haven't heard many good things :/

So wireless keyboard, tailed mouse, maybe look at a remote for controlling things for away
