Wireless Keyboard good for gaming?

Well, the problem is that the keyboard that I want only comes in a wireless configuration. It's the Logitech DiNovo.

Big spender eh... 😛 No, the DiNovo is very good, and will be so for gaming too... No doubt... I still use an old wireless Microsoft desktop, and even my mouse can keep up with fast-paced shooters... The keyboard has never let/slowed me down, so I don't expect that nice DiNovo to do so... 😉

I've never heard anything bad about gaming with a wireless keyboard, and haven't experienced any lag myself (another MX Duo user), so I'd say you're good to go!

barely eats batteries.

Yep. Been using the same 2 AA's for about 2.5 years now!!! Plus my dsek pretty much requires that I use a wireless KB.

you could even get like, rechargeable batteries?! Whoa! I've got a logitech media X wireless desktop, no problems with lag etc. that i can notice.

I guess a wireless keyboard would be nice if your desk was actually joined with a wall in back of it or something? Or maybe if you like to use your keyboard on your bed. I've never had any use for them myself, but I'm sure some people have reasons beyond thinking wireless > wired in general.

That would be a pretty bad idea. You'd have to recharge them every three or four months, and since you'd only use like three sets of alkalines over the keyboard's useful lifespan... well.

I have a ms wireless desktop comfort edition keyboard that I use with a ms wireless laser mouse 6000 and the keyboard flat out sucks for gaming. It will drop key commands when multiple keys are pushed which is not a good thing while playing counter strike:source. I can't tell you how many times I've been killed because the keyboard just stopped even though I'm holding the keys down as hard as I can. Moving the antenna closer had no affect. I'm looking for a wireless replacement for it at the moment and and leaning towards the logitech comfort duo. I've read complaints from other ms wireless keyboard users about them experiencing the same problem as I am so ms is not in the running this time.

If you're used to ergonomic boards, that would be a fine choice, except maybe for the mouse. Otherwise, I would spend the extra $20 on an MX5000 and get a lazer to go along with my counterstrike. Bluetooth is also kinda nice to have if you've got (or will be getting) any devices that support it, like a phone...
