Wireless keeps messing up, wtf?!

I keep either getting little or no connectivity, or my status said automatic ip assigned (aipa or something, as far as i learned from google), and it just doesn't work. Then, if i restart my pc, i will usually get a good signal (assigned by DHCP) and then it'll go again. how can i fix this, it's driving me nuts! and then when it disconnects, and i repair it, itll have the icon show that its disconnected, but i can use the net, it's so odd.

Thanks a lot!

First step disable security, make sure that SSID broadcast in the Wireless Router is On.

Put the computer near the Wirleess Router and see how it works under such condition.

tried both, and its already relatively close. no dice...interestingly enough, when it disconnects and i click repair, and its in the (insanely long) process of repairing (which never works), DURING that reconnect i can use the net. eh?
