Wireless Kbd/Mouse Combo - Range!

System O/S: Win 7 64-bit
Current Keyboard/Mouse: Logitech Mk550:

Budget: Less than $100.

I'm using a 73" DLP as my monitor for my HTPC (also, sometimes a gaming PC), so I sit 10-15' away from the screen.

Currently, I'm using the wireless Logitech mk550 kbd/mouse combo.
The features on the keyboard make it a great HTPC setup, but the
issue I'm dealing with is range.

Apparently, I'm just at the edge of the range for this device. I'm looking to replace it and wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions for another wireless combo with media keys and solid signal str out to 20'.
BT, 5Ghz, 2.4Ghz, etc are all fine. The only RF I run is basic WIFI and
I can change the channel, if a 2.4ghz device starts to interfere with WIFI.

Any Suggestions?

A cheap alternative might be to just get a USB extension cable. Nothing too elaborate, just maybe 3ft, and stick the receiver somewhere where it will not be in the way or damaged.

I'm already using an extension on the receiver. I've tried it on top of the TV, on the PC (Next to the TV) and on the TV stand itself, in front of the TV.
So far, it seems to work best on the TV stand, which coincidentally brings it about 8 inches closer than all the other spots, but it's not quite close enough.
