Wireless issues

Here is the issue. I am running a thinkpad t42, with Windows XP, all service packs installed and running, disabled windows zero config. Sygate Personal Firewall, and CA antivirus. It runs fine when hardwired to the internet, but when it is connected wirelessly, it struggles big time. I mean it times out with each and every page request. It isn't the wireless router, because 8 other computers use it just fine, wihtout any slowing at all.

Thoughts?

How's the signal strength? Have you checked for the latest drivers for the wireless card? Firmware update for the wireless card if there's one? Are you sure you are connecting to your wireless network and not someone elses?

Hey there,

Yup, all is good, have put the laptop right next to the router as well, still really slow. All updates and firmware updates have been performed. It is a recent issue. It didn't used to do this, only recently. And yes, I am connecting to my network, not someone elses. Other thoughts?
