wireless internet in notebook

I'm just wondering how much is the wireless internet cost? I live in east cost of us. I know that is doesnt work everywhere. What are disadvantages of wireless internet?>

p.s. I'm thinking to get a loptop, but i'm not sure if i like it cuz it would have problems with internet?

Wireless internet is just bringing the internet to your house via an antenna.

most of the time it is cheaper to get your own wireless router then rent it from the cable company, but you have to set it up on your own, which they have software for making it easy. So basically you just need to have a cable modem/DSL and a wireless router

what about if i take my loptop out of home? how much is the internet service + a router?
