I have a laptop (with an Intel PRO Wireless card), a desktop (with a CNET ethernet card or the DFI nf4 ethernet) that i want to connect on a network with a D-Link DI-724P+ wireless router and a DSL connection on a ZTE dsl modem.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong. The cables are in correctly, the lights are lighting up just fine on the router (showing connections to both WAN/LAN), but i cannot connect to the internet with my desktop (the pc i am using to configure it), and the laptop won't connect either.
I am using the network connection I created before i plugged the wireless stuff in. Do i need to change something? I am fairly certain this is a windows configuration problem since the dsl connection itself works if I don't plug it through the router. The manual for the router doesn't say much at all unfortunately.
Any ideas? Thanks.
