I Google-d, but it either doesn't exist yet, or I'm using the incorrect search strings, or I suck at Google.

We have hardwood floors with no basement and I can't imagine how he could run wires across the room and have it look decent. So I'm just wondering if this is even an option for consumers yet. Post what ya know! Thanks...

I found a few things on Google, search for "wireless audio adapter" on Google. Dlink and Linksys both have products that might work for you.

Wasn't Bluetooth supposed to take care of this in the grand scheme of things?

They won't be of decent quality if they do manage it.

In a word "no".

BlueTooh was meant for personal network that you wear and walk about. So like your phone and pda. Connects to stuff that is close by. 10m range at best but no line of sight. So just takes care of a hands free cable and a few cables. low bandwidth at about 1.5MBits but BlueTooth v2 is coming along I think.

Supports 1 HD video transmission at 24Mbps, or 3 channels of SD.

There's actually some amazing stuff out there, it's just that it's still a step or two away from hitting the shelves.

I see cables beind the tv on the bottom right side :p

It will be SO SWEET with a tv with 5.1 speaker package with NO WIRES eventually and also wireless power :D muahahaha but I'd rather power the dam devices from the mains and not shock myself :p

Anyone done wireless speakers that carried Hi-FI sound yet? At least DD 5.1?

It can be done.... Their sound quality is... questionable.

Wireless speakers are easier to do that HD quality video. The bandwidth required for video is much higher than sound.
