Wireless headphones for PC?

I would like some wireless headphones for PC use - I'm not bothered about a microphone and would prefer to avoid a full gaming headset. I currently use a pair of lightweight Sennheiser PX100-II, but I'm tired of running out of cable or using an extension and running over the cable. The only options I can see for wireless headphones seem to be bluetooth or old fashioned FM radio...is there nothing else?

I've tried bluetooth before, using generic USB bluetooth adapters for the PC, and only ever got stuttering hopeless sound. Finding a brand-name good bluetooth adapter seems difficult. Is there a good bluetooth solution available?

As for the older type of wireless headphones, I've had those before too, seemingly only available in big hot head-crushing closed back designs with mountains of hiss. Not a big fan of this technology either.

I got the sennheiser hd 4.40bt a couple days ago and find it was a good pair for wireless Bluetooth headphones. If you need a transmitter just buy something by aventree off eBay that has aptx in it, like their Saturn modual.

Crusher is very similar in sound quality but lacks aptx and the 4.40bt is 50 bucks cheaper. Buying anything more expensive while seeking Bluetooth is pointless, the 4.40bt is all ready more headphones then aptx can handle and if you use the line connection you can get better sound.

I'd recommend the Razer ManO'War Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound, I know you wanted to avoid full gaming headsets but these are great plus they are compatible on many gaming platforms. I know they are kind of pricey, but you won't find a high-quality wireless headset that doesn't cost a lot. I know Sennheiser make excellent headphones. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to test one yet.

Here is an article that might help you on your search, although most of their picks are focused towards gaming headsets. https://exposegaming.com/best-gaming-headset-under-200/#winner
