Wireless Headphones -- Clear Reception?

I listen to NPR audio while cooking and doing dishes, etc. I currently have a set of Emerson EHP1000 wireless headphones. My folks got them for free with their cable subscription, but they aren't all that great. The reception isn't real good.

Any recommendations for some wireless headphones that get a good reception? I was thinking about the Sennheiser 110 headphones.

Those headphones are 900 Mhz. KMart has Coby (cheap Chinese brand-x) 2.4 Ghz wireless headphones for $40. Presumably, 2.4 Ghz is better, but how much better? Good enough to make a crappy brand worthwhile?
