I had a Buffalo Tech Router & wireless ethernet converter that went belly up. I had the router connected to my modem. Connected via wires to the router I had my computer & my xbox. In another room I had the wireless ethernet converter & connected to that via wires was my ps3, Yamaha receiver, & my HD-DVD player. I just bought a Netgear Wireless-N 300 router & a Netgear wireless-n access point. I was told to hook a small hub up to the access point & then connect my ps3, receiver, & hd-dvd player to the hub. The router would be in my room with the computer & xbox & would be hooked up just like the buffalo tech router was. I have the router hooked up & it works fine but I cant get the access point working. Do I even need an access point for what I want to do? Should I have just have gotten another router? Please steer me in the right direction on how to make this work.
