Galaxy is bringing out a HDMI breakout box. They want to move even more into retail and soon we will even see SSDs with the Galaxy brand.

i expect to be evaluating these products pretty soon. Galaxy showed them at CES to some of the media.

You will be evaluating the SSDs or the HDMI breakout box or both? :hmm:

Smart move on their part. I don't know about most people, but I wouldn't buy an expensive card with a built in wireless emitter. I might however buy an HDMI breakout box that would let me use any one of my computers or mobile devices to output to my TV. Something like this could realistically make the dedicated HTPC a thing of the past. This would be great for streaming Netflix/Hulu/whatever from a laptop, and it sounds like it would be a good business product for conference rooms too.

Do you know if this would mirror the display being output to monitors or act as a separate monitor? Because if it's a separate monitor, that would work very nicely for me. I could have a wireless laptop and keyboard connected to a virtual machine so then I would have a perfectly good HTPC.
