I dont think this has been posted, but i was at frys in manhattan beach , southern california.

they had an AIRLINK brand 802.11g router for $16.99 and usb 2 / pci or pcmcia cards for $12.99

granted its not as cheap as some of the 2 rebate type deals. but this deal had no rebate. i bought usb and pci cards as well as the router. i think they were out of the pcmcia at that particular store.

I have seen the deals on Airlink stuff for weeks now from Frys/Outpost but the brand sounds like crap! Has anyone had any experience with their stuff?

Might be worth it to just get the G speeds but if its going to be a pain in the butt to work with, not worth it.

I got their USB-g adapter earlier. It works very well so far. I'm connecting to a netgear 802.11b router but it seems to work better than my B NICs.

I've used several airlink b adapters, have Airlink switches, 2 print servers, and over a dozen 10/100/1000 adapters. Haven't had any problem with any of them.

The one thing I havent used are the wireless g adapters but I wouldnt fear everything else works fine

I bought a 16 port switch about 2 months. Its working perfectly so far. Not the best looking though.

All of their equipment incorporates lucent or atheos (108 superG) processors. nuf said, its identical to dlink/netgear equipment, still a little out of linksys's class though (not as much ram or eeprom storage)

Hey, for the price you can't go wrong. I will be ordering the router later this week.

Yea, my house is all hooked up to airlink routers and stuff. Very cheap and its faster when I tested it againest a linksys.

The airlinks looks pretty ugly, but I've bought 2 usb wireless adapters, a print server, wireless G router, and an access point.

All except the AP work well, even connecting to my Dlink.

I've got an outstanding call to their tech support for the AP, which currently is not allowing me to bridge a wired network on the other side of my house.

Besides the AP, everything seems to work.

the AP keeps losing connection. it seems ok for about 10 feet, but when i put my computer in my living room it loses signal. i guess i need to experiment with what channels im using still.

The sales guy at frys said he likes the adapters just fine but the g router has alot of complaints and the signal was very weak compared to all the others he tested. Maybe he was trying to upsell me. I don't know. Any other 1st hand complaints out there?

signal was kinda weak. its not stable enough in my living room to play games.

and thats only about 35 feet from the base station. hopefully will get a firmware update.

then again my computer is only 10feet away, and i need a new WIRED router anyway. this was still cheaper.

Picked one up today.

Signal is a lot weaker than the linksys wireless G.

So this one is going back to the store.
