Wireless for network gaming?

I'm building a computer and am wondering if I should get a wireless card or run cable. Will a 802.11b wireless card work for network gaming like COH or Battlenet or Battlefield 1942? I use wireless all the time on my laptop but it's not fast enough for me to play thoes games on it. What do you guys suggest?

depends how reliable its been. if a microwave or a neighbors or roomies/family member uses a 2.4ghz phone and boots u off during a game... that aint kewl... i dont use wireless for gaming. only for laptop around the house

it depends if you want to host the game or not....even my superG wireless with bog if i host a game, but if you arnt hosting then even b with be ok for most games,.

I use 802.11b for my laptop and call of duty. runs like a champ. no lag.

other games its not as good for some reason... depends on the server i guess.

its not a bad solution but wired is always gonna be better.
