Anyone have any experience with this one?

I want to get one so I can listen to my Ipod in the car, but had bad experiences with my Neuros built in FM Modulator. So I figured I'd hardwire it, but thats going to be expensive/complex mosmt likely.

Ive heard that this monster one is a very good product and ti has little static, if any at all. Anyone use this, or maybe a different one?

*UPDATE*

So I went and bought the monster icarplay thingy. It blows. Just like every other wireless modulator. Ive heard a lot of good things about that one scosche model, but they don't carry it in any of their stores anymore and their website is out of stock. I could order it for 30 bucks through scosches website but I'd probably have a hard time returning it if it sucks.

So I may just breakdown and hardwire it. Problem is Ive got an 06 Mustang and I don't want to tear apart the dashboard running wires and ****** all over. So Im looking for the easiest/not to expensive way to get this dang thing hardwired.

I use a Belkin TuneCast II when I use my mp3 player in a car without the tape deck. It does a decent job. Plus it was only about $30.

I want it to do the best job I can get. I HATE that static interference. In my Neuros whenever I switched songs you would hear annoying static, and if the music was really low you could hear it as well. I hated it.

Did you not read the reviews?

I did, I was hoping to get some opinions from ATOTers though. Some of those reviews are incredibly biased.

Alot of people at the iLounge forums seem to recommend one called schoucse, or somethin like that from walmart for around $15. It plugs into ur cigg lighter, and seems to give a pretty good signal.

any idea if the first will work with an ipod?

Your link isn't working for me.
I've used FM modulators and tape adapters, but any quality direct connect device is the best option.

looks like they use session variables. here are the two that come up for my car.

one says its for ipods and the other seems like its for everything (including ipods?)

I personally have a Scosche FM transmitter...not the one made for Ipods, but the normal one with the headphone jack thing. It broadcasts VERY strong....overpowers cars next to me.....it is seriously the best $20 ive spent!

The USA SPEC one is the only one available for my car (which I'm using now and it works great). I'm not familiar with the other brand...

Ive heard the model that has the charger with it isn't very good, but the one without the charger works very well.

I kinda wanted to be able to charge my IPOD at the same time, thats why I was thinking the Iplay by monster might be a better alternative?

Isn't an FM transmitter different from an FM modulator somehow?

I bought an iTrip and it was useless. I tried to mod. the antenna but I just can't crack the iTrip open.

Recently tried a Belkin Tunecast, which was actually usable.

FM modulators blow. Buy a system and hardwire it. I did it and it was worth every penny. A huge step up from the crappy stock stereos they put in cars too.

I went with a Pioneer DEH-P7700MP and added the iPod plug in unit and ran the iPod connector into the glove box. It took me about an hour to install and I'm quite happy with it.
