Equipment:
Wireless router with default address of 192.168.0.1

Wireless adapter with default address of 192.168.0.30

Both Subnet of 255.255.255.0

Playstation 2

The PS2 is connected to the wireless router via the wireless adapter. Right now all settings are default and automatic. Addresses assigned by the router.

I want to place the PS2 in the DMZ.

What values could I enter into the Wireless adapter and the Playstation 2 to enable this?

I know how to turn it on and assign a address at the wireless router level.

Should I have designated IP assigned to the PS2 or the Wireless adapter? or Both?

What about the primary DNS values for the PS2?

One more question:

If the default address of the wireless adapter is 192.168.0.30. This is the address I use to get into the wireless adapter set up screen.

However, when I log into the router and look at the active clients...the wireless adapter has a different IP?

*Last time I had a tier 2 D-Link tech help with this set up, but I updated the firmware on the router and adapter and forgot to save the settings. I can't bypass Mr. Tier 1 "I read straight off the computer screen" to get to Tier 2 again.*

*One of saved DMZ network configuration for the Playstation 2 is currently at

192.168.0.85 address
255.255.255.0 subnet
92.168.0.1 default gateway
4.2.2.2 primary DNS

Please help with my set up thanks in advance.

DMZ entails putting all the ports of a specific Network device in front of the Routers Firewall.

It has Nothing to do with Wireless, it done in the Router's menus by switching On the DMZ for the IP number of the computer/Game Box.

What if there's a wireless network adapter between the wireless router and the computer/gamebox...

that's pretty much is my main question....what should that adapter's settings be?

The adapter setting should be the way its manual describes it, it has nothing to do with DMZ.
