Are there any wireless display options for people who want to use a 30 in monitor (low FPS) with a Thunderbolt/mini-Displayport but still have mobility? i.e. working on a big document or photo retouching on a MBA from bed or so you can hand it off to someone else, not worry about yanking cords.

With the release of Mountain Lion you will be able to clone your Mac's display through the AppleTV and if I am not mistaken there already exist ways (paid software) that will do that, and possibly let you extend the display this way instead of just cloning it.

Basically, the answer is the AppleTV.

Also, I am a little confused about the whole setup. What do you want to hand off to who?

AirParrot does it now (paid solution) or you can wait until Mountain Lion.

That appears to only do mirroring (which is what Mountain Lion is currently limited to as well). I wonder if anything will do extending.

Say you're retouching a photo with your co-worker and he is sitting next to you and he's more experienced in photoshop. You can just hand him the laptop instead of switching spots. This is all hypothetical, I'm just wondering if said thing exists.
