Wireless connection lost after Media Player

My wife's laptop looses wireless connection every time she goes into ANY media player to watch a video clip, and does not even see a connection at all until player is closed. Any tips on a fix for this?

Since Vista, media playing and network connectivity is tied together under this service manager which I forgot the name of. In some cases, if it detects media being played, it'd reduce network performance so it can play that media better. In other words, listening to MP3 can hurt network speed. Big WTF there.

I think what I wrote above can be a possible explanation. Something might have gone regular Big WTF to bigger WTF.

For possible solutions, look here:

You have to describe better what is that you are talking about.

Are you talking about using Windows Media Player to see Video stored on the computer, or over the Internet, or something else?

This page has FAQ concerning WMP and Internet connection.

Okay, sorry been away for awile, holidays and all. Anyway, she downloads a video on line...one of her grandkids singing some stupid song or something...she opens it with Windows Media Player, and as soon as it starts (the player) she loses her wireless connection all together. She is NOT watching streaming video, this is anything on her PC already.
