They may be operating on the same frequency/channel. You could switch your phones to a 5.8Ghz model or try setting the phone on a set channel and put the router on a different channel.
Not really. They are both running on the same frequency and many newer wireless phones scan all the channels and dont let you change the channel. You can try moving the router or the phone's base unit around and see if that helps. Tossing the router as close to where you normally use the computer is best. Also making sure that the computer is not between the phone and its base unit or the phone isnt between the computer and the router helps.
