Wireless Computer with BT Running can't Surf Internet

I recently got an annoying problem. When I have BT running, the computer can't surf the Internet and even MSN doesn't work. I didn't get this problem before and I could run around 6 torrent tasks without experiencing any slowdowns. The upload speed is limited to 3KB/s, and Half Open TCP/IP is set to 0 and this value cannot be changed within BitComet.

When I'm running eMule though, I can surf the web without any speed impact. What could be wrong? I already have my ports forwarded and a static IP is set.

Some lower end routers have limited cpu and memory that doesnt allow them to handle the load from the mass amount of connections that BT makes. Is this a new router? Has the firmware changed? Have you tried updating the firmware? What router do you have?

No this is not a new router. I've had this router for 6 months, and I'm using DD-WRT. I know it can handle the load cus before, I could have 10 torrents running and my Internet will still be at full speed. This speed problem only applies to my computer though. The other computers don't get affected when they're running BT. Other P2P programs like eMule won't cause any slow downs either.

I'm using a Linksys WRT54GSv7.
