I have a Linksys wireless router and a Belkin wireless adapter extender and the two don't seem to communicate is there anyway to get them to work together?

I guess they do have "Combatibility".

Seriously they should work. Are they both 802.11b or 802.11g. If the router is 802.11g and the adapter is 802.11b, that might cause a problem.

Specialty devices that are an extension of the specific Chipset are Not compatible with devices of other chipset.

Wireless devices like Repeaters, Extenders, SpeedBoosters, SuperG, etc., are vulnerable to compatibility problems.

Aye. Using wireless adapter for simple things is very doable but using their extender products is another animal alltogether.

If you use extenders, stay in brand
